Highway Forever
Fuck,
steel ripping into opal ribbons
drenched in orange-brown sweat,
tips melting into gooey ash pavement,
flood of my black river,
dust plumes from plastic radiator girds.
I’m close,
slow motion catastrophe and
chrome heat death,
freeway eroding vaginal walls of sand.
I love you,
as cadmium stains my palms,
forever desert double-helix,
forever pressed against your waste.
