Lemonpoem
Lemon tree, lemongrass
Sunday Morning, Sunday Mass
The terrain I traced between the lakes
A great barrier
Great love
A grave mistake
Take my hand, take my wisdom
Take me lonely, take me fully
Take me dancing, take me now
Procure a wedding, write a vow
Lemon hair, lemon face
Crystal eyes, a diamond gate
Will you take me? Will I escape?
Take me here, take me there
Write me letters, braid my hair
In a jiffy, in a rhyme
You hold my face, give you my pride
Lemon tree, lemon flower
I dream upon the emerald tower
Like a river, like a lover
Like a lucky counted clover
Flow and turn and take me gently
Slipped right past the heartfelt sentry
Lemon tears, lemoncholy
Sting and churn my lemonpain
With a blade that cuts the vein
Citrus lover, citrus mistress,
Cheating babe dipped in hibiscus
Undercover, undergarment
A laugh turned out to be too charming
But in the end, it’s lemonlaughter
A citrus fruit for ever after
Lemon joy, lemon jolly,
Reverting back to lemonfolly.
