The Misfortunate Family’s Limerick
There once was a dad who lived in a basement
The mother had made the arrangement
Both couldn’t take the screaming
They were better off leaving
But they took their marriage as their only achievement
There once was a son with the blues
Who would chug down all this booze
The counselor told him it ain’t right
But he’d still do it throughout the night
And that’s why his screws came loose
There once was a daughter who stewed in her silence
She was tired of her tyrants
Her bags were already made
There would be no barricade
She would leave their violence
