Hey there, Gandy fans. The Online Editing and Production class is deep in the throes of selecting the pieces for Issue 2.1. This time around, we received 128 submissions, and we’re absolutely thrilled about it! The authors and artists hail from all across New York.
Of course, more submissions from all of you mean more reading (and discussion) from us. Were you to walk into our classroom right now, you would be surrounded by spirited conversations in all our different genre groups. It can get pretty heated in here, when two editors disagree on a piece. We wouldn’t change it for the world, though; what could be better than spending our mornings discussing craftsmanship and aesthetics?
In the meantime, we are also working on providing print copies of Issue 1.2, and the mockup so far looks fantastic! We are so excited that we’ll be able to have a tangible representation of all of our hard work last semester, and a print copy of Issue 1.2 means a print copy of Issue 2.1 and all the other issues to come.
As you can probably tell, there’s a lot that goes into putting together an issue of a literary journal. It’ll all be worth it, though, when we finally get to enjoy the fruits of our labor. We’re looking forward to Issue 2.1, and we hope you are too!
